It was a tough break for me when I broke my leg 2 years ago.
Our Company was ahead of curve in competition with other companies.

Friday 12 February 2016

Task two:

Write a short trip report about yesterday’s field trip. Describe what you liked, what you didn't like, what you learned, and if you would like to repeat it again or not and why.

I went to an amazing trip to BALES SKI AND SNOWBOARD CENTRE yesterday. The event started at 10 a.m. and people who wanted to learn ski went to another room for renting stuffs and learning, but 3 people and I went there just for watching and learning new vocabulary about ski and snowboard. I couldn't imagine this place in Toronto before, because I knew Toronto has no mountain. I learned so much about skiing stuffs like shoes, weight of shoes, the difference between ski and snowboard shoes, ... and I enjoyed my time with my friends and classmates and took many photos with them . I really like to go there again in future.
Task one:

Our first task is to write a short paragraph describing your previous workplace culture/system/rituals (if you had any), using at least five from each of the vocabulary list and the buzzwords we have learnt today.

I was working in a big company named SABA ASANBAR. This company is Exclusive distributer of KONE-a Finlandian company in producing and installation and maintaining Elevators & Escalators and forth rate in the world-and our company installed more than 1000 elevators and about 200 escalator in all around Iran. People should learn the ropes, because you should work safely and safety is the most important thing for those who are new hire, specially for elevators. There are different departments in the company, for example site visiting, designing, sales, maintenance service, ... The service department is 24/7 department and there is no way for slacking off persons.

The Incident

The video is about a company in Manitoba. The supervisor asked one of the workers to make a machine safer, but he didn't do that. The next day, the worker that was working with this machine was absent, so the supervisor asked the workers if someone could work with this machine. Clera, who was worry about being fire out of her work and really needed to work in order to send money to her family in her back country, raised her hand and said she knows how to work with the mentioned machine. Her colleague, Nisha, tried to avoid her to do that because she had no experience and training in work with this machine. She must learn how to work with the machine instead of being worry about losing her job. Because the law has rights for workers in Canada. The workers have right to refuse in case of hazard or not enough proper training for working with machines. Finally, Clera started to work with the machine and she injured her hand. This video taught me that the law lets me to have specified rights to work with safety without being worry about fire out of my job.
